Janice Barltrop – North East Derbyshire District Council

Adele Gladman has worked with North East Derbyshire District Council and Bolsover District Council delivering Safeguarding Awareness training for the last four years, with the last three years being focussed training relating to children and vulnerable adults, for both office based and outside service employees.

Her knowledge of safeguarding and its many issues and difficulties is outstanding, and she has delivered what is an emotive and difficult subject to discuss in a professional but also engaging way.

Feedback from the sessions has been extremely positive with nearly 100% of employees saying that they found the training interesting and informative, and that they would recommend the training to others.

Comments from employees include:

  • Frank and invaluable training from an expert in the field. Thank you
  • Very good – message hit home. Really well presented
  • Excellent course 🙂 Thanks
  • I had completed safeguarding training via online course whilst employed by another authority.  Today’s session was fantastic by comparison – so informative, lots of case studies/examples, interactive. Adele’s expertise and knowledge made the session so interesting and of great benefit to me in my role. Many thanks Adele.

Both Councils are committed to ensuring that our employees understand their responsibilities relating to safeguarding, and Adele not only fully understood our brief but delivered on all levels.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Adele as an expert in her field.
