An organisation operating several theme parks commissioned us to design and deliver a bespoke safeguarding course for its designated safeguarding staff. The course considered national trends and patterns in safeguarding, as well as local profiles and likely risk factors. The training delivered was scenario based, considering duties of care to staff, seasonal workers, apprentices and work experience; and overall safeguarding duties to members of the public. The training enabled gaps in policy, skill and provision to be identified and facilitated the creation of an action plan for improvement and implementation before the summer season commenced.
