In this case, a young person had made an allegation against a member of teaching staff.
The organisation consulted Adele for some initial advice and after speaking to the LADO, Adele was asked to conduct an independent investigation into the allegations made by the young person. This includes considering all available evidence and interviewing witnesses before preparing a report in line with the guidance in Working Together to Safeguard Children and Keeping Children Safe in Education. In the report Adele presented her findings along with recommendations. Independently Adele advised the work place in identifying other issues that she had identified as part of the investigation, and gave advice on how best to address them. This resulted in the person concerned being dismissed from employment, and referred to regulatory and statutory bodies. The combined report resulted in great participation opportunity for young people in the organisation; an improved staff training programme (including advice on whistleblowing and programme on safe workplace practice); and an enhanced suite of policies.
Your experience shows and makes this much more real.
Excellent training. It has given me the confidence to deal with safeguarding going forward.
Fantastic as ever. Highly recommended.
The best safeguarding training I have ever had and incredibly relevant!
