A charity engaged Adele to conduct a review of their safeguarding policies and procedures.
Meetings took place, which enabled Adele to get to know the client, and understand the nature of their work. With this knowledge she was able to draft policies and procedures which fitted the diverse and sensitive work of the charity. The policies were written in a clear and practical way to enable all those working with the charity from managers to volunteers, and service users, to have clear guidance on recognising and responding to safeguarding issues.
The client also engaged Adele to design and deliver a safeguarding course issues; introduce the new policies and procedures; and through scenario based groupwork to ensure that all staff were clear about their safeguarding responsibilities and how to act if they had a concern about a child or vulnerable adult.
