Adele is an independent auditor for APSCO (Association of Professional Staffing Companies). This involves the annual audit of members (recruitment agencies working in the education, social care and health sectors) against the Compliance+ standards, a document which reflects current best practice in safer recruitment. Audits consist of:
Interviews with senior personnel, compliance staff, designated safeguarding officers and a range of operational staff
Auditing 5 randomly selected candidate files against the Compliance+ standards, looking at issues from the quality of interviews, scrutiny of references, statutory checks, and candidate knowledge
Review of the organisation policies
Review of the results of an anonymous survey sent to clients and candidates who are on the agency’s books.
Review of the company website and online reviews
Review of the previous year’s audit report, particularly the findings along with the requirements and recommendations.
General advice and discussion of current trends and findings from independent investigations.
