Safer recruitment audit for a large multi-site academy trust

A large multi-site academy trust commissioned us to undertake a safer recruitment audit of all of its sites and recruitment practice. The extensive audit considered policy and process, individual recruitment files, safeguarding records (including allegations made against staff) and interviews with professionals involved at different stages of the recruitment process. Analysis of findings resulted in a report being presented to board with SMART recommendations for improvement, enabling safer practice and a positive OFSTED inspection which took place not long afterwards.
