A specialist provision commissioned us to design and deliver subject-specific training to its staff to enable them to feel skilled and supported in responding to a young person in their care showing high-risk behaviours. The training was designed after careful consultation with the organisation and staff, identifying their needs, and exploring the young person’s case file to enable situation-specific scenarios to be used during the training. The training enabled both consideration of best practice guidance, accredited research, and facilitated reflective practice with those attending.
